Get the clarity you need to make
the right decision for your EdTech platform.
How do you ensure the quality of your developers and support agents?
Our hiring process is multi-layered. Candidates go through technical assessments, live coding challenges,
and multiple rounds of interviews focusing on problem-solving and communication. For support agents, we
test for empathy, language proficiency, and technical aptitude. All new hires undergo extensive training
on our processes and security protocols before they are ever assigned to a client project.
What does a typical 'dedicated team' or 'pod' consist of?
A typical starter pod for a development project includes 1 Project Manager/Scrum Master, 2-3 Developers
(e.g., frontend, backend), and 1 QA Engineer. However, teams are fully customizable. We can add UI/UX
designers, DevOps engineers, or AI specialists as needed based on your project's requirements.
How do you handle intellectual property (IP) rights?
It's simple: you own 100% of the intellectual property. Our Master Service Agreement (MSA) and individual
Statements of Work (SOW) explicitly state that all code, designs, and other work product created for you
are your exclusive property. We are purely a service provider.
What is your process for handling time zone differences?
We structure our teams to ensure a minimum of 4-5 hours of overlap with your core business hours for
real-time collaboration, meetings, and sprint planning. Your Project Manager acts as the primary point of
contact, and we utilize asynchronous communication tools like Slack and Jira to keep work moving 24/7.
Can we start with a small project or trial period?
Absolutely. We highly recommend our 2-week paid trial. It's a low-risk way for you to experience our
process, talent, and communication firsthand. We can also scope a smaller, fixed-price project (like
building a single feature) to demonstrate our capabilities before you commit to a larger, ongoing team.
How does your pricing work? Are there any hidden costs?
Our pricing is transparent and straightforward. For dedicated teams, you pay a flat monthly fee per team
member. For project-based work, we agree on a fixed price for the entire scope. There are no hidden costs
for recruitment, benefits, or management. The price you are quoted is the price you pay.
How do you handle student data privacy regulations like FERPA and GDPR?
Security is baked into our DNA. We are ISO 27001 and SOC 2 certified, which means our infrastructure,
processes, and training are fully aligned with international data protection standards. We treat FERPA,
COPPA, and GDPR compliance as mandatory, not optional, implementing strict data access controls,
encryption, and regular audits to protect your student and institutional data.
How do you ensure your team aligns with our company culture?
Cultural alignment is a key part of our selection and onboarding process. We don't just hire for skills;
we hire for attitude, adaptability, and communication style. During the initial discovery phase, we learn
about your company values and working preferences. Our teams are trained to integrate seamlessly into your
existing workflows, attending your stand-ups and adopting your tools, ensuring they feel like an extension
of your own office.
What is your retention rate, and how do you manage turnover?
We pride ourselves on a 95%+ retention rate for both clients and key employees. We invest heavily in our
people, providing continuous training, a positive work environment, and competitive compensation packages.
By treating our staff as valued, long-term employees rather than contractors, we ensure stability,
consistency, and deep institutional knowledge for your projects.
Are you locked into specific technologies, or can you work with our existing stack?
We are technology-agnostic and fully capable of adapting to your existing tech stack. Whether you are
built on Moodle, Canvas, a custom React/Node application, or a legacy system, our developers are
proficient across a wide range of modern and traditional EdTech tools. We perform a technical assessment
during the discovery phase to ensure we assign the right experts who are already comfortable with your
specific tools.
What does the onboarding process look like for a new team member?
Our onboarding is designed for speed without sacrificing quality. Once a team member is selected, we run a
tailored 48-72 hour onboarding sprint. This includes gaining access to your internal documentation,
setting up development environments, understanding your product roadmap, and meeting your core
stakeholders. By the time they start their first sprint, they are already integrated into your team's
rhythm.
What happens if a developer isn't performing up to our standards?
Performance issues are rare, but we have a robust mitigation plan. We monitor performance via clear KPIs
and daily sprint reviews. If, at any point, you feel a team member isn't the right fit, we take immediate
action. We provide a free replacement process, including zero-cost knowledge transfer to the new team
member, ensuring that your project momentum is never compromised.
Do you provide on-site support if needed?
Yes. While our primary model is remote-first, we provide need-basis on-site visits for critical project
milestones, such as kick-offs, deep-dive strategy sessions, or urgent deployment support. Our global
presence allows us to coordinate these visits efficiently, ensuring you get face-to-face time when it
matters most.
How do you ensure consistent quality in your CMMI Level 5 processes?
CMMI Level 5 is the gold standard for process maturity, and we live by it. It means our processes are not
just documented; they are continuously optimized based on data. We use automated tracking for every stage
of development, perform rigorous quality audits, and apply predictive analytics to manage project risks
before they impact your delivery. This gives you a level of predictability and quality that is rare in the
industry.
